We all dream of the day when the majority of Americans own their own homes. A day when families are healthy, and children are loved and valued. Is capitalism a "good" thing? Is it fixable? Can it work for large groups of people with different income and workng habits and motivations? "The Race" does a great job of teaching the economics behind capitalism and ways it does not work and does work. Very educational.

I've been a doubter of modern capitalism for many years. This book punctuated everything I suspected. That it offers a solution for fixing the problem is laudable. The author writes well and organizes the information efficiently to explain how capitalism got so out of hand in America. A very interesting read.
