Today I have a very special book for my readers, especially those who need an emotional boost or spiritual uplift. Caleb Wampler, author of "Hunger: For those who know there's more..." is well-written, engaging, and extremely timely. This is a book that can change you on the inside. Take a look and buy the book for a life-changing experience.

Hunger: For those who know there's more... Paperback – July 1, 2020
by Caleb Wampler  (Author)

Occasionally a book comes along that doesn’t just challenge you but changes you — Hunger is that book! A riveting collection of heavenly encounters, you cannot be the same person who opened its cover when you close it. And though we thankfully have access to a precious surplus of Christian resources available to us, they are, but a means to draw near to the Lord. Our most urgent need continues to be actual encounters with the living God. Hunger not only chronicles the encounters men of God have had with Him throughout church history; it is itself a heavenly encounter. Through Hunger, readers will find:
•An intensifying passion to seek and commune with God one on one.
•A deepening intimacy with the Lord as they walk with Him.
•A growing burden for souls that ignites a consuming desire to witness for Christ.
•A heightening awareness of the eternal that inspires an impassioned pursuit of heavenly treasures.
Not only will your faith in God be strengthened, your love for Him deepened, and your relationship with Him nourished, but your hunger to personally encounter God, Himself, will grow stubbornly unrelenting as you read Hunger and embrace its message.

An amazing read! It stirred up my faith and fire for God! It encouraged me to not be focused on the time spent with God, but the posture of my heart! Literally, 2 hours of praying after reading this book, God answered my prayers. He does the impossible! He’s a miracle working God throughout all time and even today in your life! The testimonies of great faith, along with Caleb’s personal journey are relatable and relevant for all readers. Throughout each chapter are scriptures to meditate and feast on and keep that “Hunger” for God every day! I couldn’t put it down and read it two days!

This book is full of revelation and wisdom about having a closer relationship with Jesus! Caleb relates testimonies from his life and others, with the truth of scripture, to encourage us to know the Lord in a way that we encounter all of who He is! I read several of the chapters multiple times before moving on because they were so full of words of life!

The Power of Your Spine! Treat it Right and I Will Treat You Right

I bring you good tidings and cheer through this season and hope everyone is healthy and happy. I remember holiday seasons where I was ill and couldn't get out of the bed; so, I am grateful that I am healthy both physically and mentally. We owe it to ourselves and our loved ones to remain healthy and do whatever we can to stay that way.

Healthiness isn't always about washing our hands, bathing, eating right, and exercising. We often miss the opportunity to take care of ourselves from the inside. By that, I mean taking care of our spines. Have you ever had back pain that it took your breath away. I know I have. In fact, in 2006, I had to have back surgery after I fractured my L4. The surgeon immediately ordered a spinal fusion and he put a cage, a rod, and four screws in my back. The recovery went slow, but you can guarantee that I take care of my back and spine. That is why today's author, Tracy L Markley, and her book "The Power of Your Spine: How Back Strength and Posture Pilots the Entire Body," is so important. This book is filled with information from an author who is in the know. Let's learn about Tracy and her book.

Stay healthy and be happy,

Dr. Mel

ABOUT THE BOOK

In The Power of Your Back and Spine Muscles, Tracy shares illustrations of many important spine and back muscles. She also shares the physical movements these spine and back muscles perform for everyday activity.

Tracy feels if we have the knowledge of our muscles and movements, it guides us to stay injury free during our daily activities and exercise programs. Having this knowledge will help fight against decline and weakness that often come with aging and/or disease. It will also assist in recovery and rehab from injuries, stroke, surgeries and rebuilding walking abilities.

This anatomy book is a vital resource for all ages, including students, fitness fanatics, athletes, fitness professionals, physical therapists, chiropractors and medical professionals.

The Power of Your Spine, How Back Strength and Posture Pilots the Entire Body

Tell your readers a little about yourself, where you grew up, where you live now, where you went to school etc. Let them get to know the personal you.

I grew up in Long Beach, California. I have been working and studying in the fitness industry for more than two decades. I am the owner of Tracy’s Personal training, Pilates and Yoga Studio. I lived and had my studio in Huntington Beach, California, for over 17 years before moving to Oregon and setting up my business there. I became an author two years ago, after experiencing a wonderful journey training a stroke survivor in recovery. He wanted his journey of healing shared. That was my first book, "The Stroke of an Artist, The Journey of A Fitness Trainer and a Stroke Survivor." That book lead to my other books, as well as being asked to write a course "Stroke Recovery and Exercise" for the fitness industry CEC education. I am a certified Fitness Specialist, Personal Trainer, Biomechanics Specialist, Pain Free Movement Specialist, BOSU® Master Trainer and more. I am on the Fitness Education Advisory Board with the Medfit Foundation and where I wrote the CEC Certification Course on Stroke Recovery and Exercise. My work and books have been nationally recognized.

I am also the author of the following books:

*The Stroke of and Artist: The Journey of a Fitness Trainer and a Stroke Survivor

*Tipping Toward Balance: A Fitness Trainer’s Guide to Stability and Walking

*Stroke Recovery, What Now? When Physical Therapy Ends, But Your Recovery Continues

There are a few reasons I wrote this book. One is; I work with many stroke survivors, and I also have a stroke recovery support group Facebook page with almost 3000 people in it. I see how many are struggling with care and recovery after their physical therapy ends. Some don't get good physical therapy and others do, but most therapy sessions the insurance allows are not even close to how long these survivors need it.

In this book and my other books, I try to educate the best I can to help stroke survivors and others struggling to get movement, balance, stability and more back into their lives. In the fitness industry, there are some very knowledgeable professionals, but unfortunately, there are many who are very limited in their muscle and movement education. Limited knowledge limits a person's outcome. In some cases, this can mean helping a stroke survivor walk again or not. If the survivor and their caregivers/family do not have the knowledge they may settle with the limited recovery and accepting it was the stroke, when in fact, often it is the limited knowledge of the professional.

Stroke recovery is just one example of the many, many struggles, challenges, diseases and injuries people are trying to heal from.

In my profession, I work with clients of all ages -- from helping kids in sports and feeling more confident in PE classes to helping seniors and those with fall risks regain a safe walking and balance system again, leading them to fall prevention.

Everyone wants to stay safe and avoid injuries in their exercise programs. The more we understand the muscles on our own body and how they perform movement, move joints, and the proper alignment of the spine and back posture and how it all connects to the whole body, the stronger and injury-free the body can stay.

I also try to keep my books to the point and easy to understand but with solid education.

It is also small enough to carry with you to a chiropractor, physical therapist, trainer, doctor, and other healers one may be working with to get better by sharing the illustrations and helping everyone be on the same team and understanding in one's body care and recovery or sports training.

What do you consider your greatest success in life?
The wonderful connection and great help I am told by stroke survivors that I have helped them with. One stroke survivor calls me God's Stroke Angel. That touches my heart. When a client comes to me at any age and has had falls, seeing them overcome that and regain their strength, cognitive skills and ability to not fall anymore is just a wonderful, triumphant feeling. It gives them back safety and movement in life again. I'm thrilled I can do that. Of course, I am proud of my books too.

What one unique thing sets you apart from other writers in your genre?

I have years of knowledge and working in my industry with everything I wrote in the book.
