Today's BOOK OF THE DAY, "Mandela Effect Memories" by Ron Deming is amazing. Our brains do amazing things and is one of the most misunderstood parts of our body. Imagine the power held withing our brain. How do we remember something? How does it interpret pain or pleasure? Why is that some people remember things and they don 't know why? Why do people dream? Is in fact, what we remember a reality or did our imaginations make it up or did Quantum Theory take hold? Like I said, the brain is very complex. Now, this brings me to "Mandela Effect Memories." I have taken the opportunity to read it and must say I was impressed. I loved how Deming addressed the issue of shared memories and the possibility of an alternate universe. I have been married for thirty-eight years and during that time, my husband and I have had shared dreams. No kidding. We woke up from dreams several times, at the same time, and discovered we were having the same dream. Although I know this happened, I still question it. Did our shared dream create a false memory for us? How and why? I think this really applies to the concept discussed by Deming and the Mandela Effect. Is there a line to be drawn? ABOUT THE AUTHOR

In the days leading up to a hospitalization that found him in an ICU for fourteen days, A.J. Brooks became so ill he lost track of the human constructs of time. He had a life-defining waking dream in which he saw the universe unfolding in all of its complexity. He eventually emerged, the process aging him. In his dream and the events that followed, he felt a calling—a purpose—to tell this story in the realms of fantasy fiction to help others understand themselves and to grow as characters grow in a story.

Following his illness, A.J. took a semester off from university, where he’d been preparing to become a physician’s assistant, to write the story of “Halotempora.” Though only twenty-five years old, A.J. feels he has lived several lifetimes.
