Sarmistha Mitra
Can you tell us a little about yourself and your journey to becoming an author?
I am Sarmistha Mitra, a master holistic counselor, thought leader, and the
founder of The Wellbeing Sanctuary; I have developed a therapeutic model named
DecodeYou®️: Subconscious Mind Mastery Program, which helps to train the mind
to prevent and overcome illnesses of the mind and body. My journey to becoming
an author was a natural extension of my work in subconscious reprogramming,
ancestral healing, and mind training. Over the years, I realized that true
transformation requires more than just therapy—it requires knowledge,
reflection, and a shift in perception. Writing became my way of reaching a
wider audience, offering them insights and tools to break free from limiting
patterns and reclaim their power.
My inspiration comes from my deep understanding of human consciousness and the desire to help others liberate themselves from cycles of suffering. Books like Living with the Himalayan Masters and Autobiography of a Yogi profoundly shaped my perception of reality and the power of the mind. They taught me that transformation is always possible if we challenge our perceptions. My writing is also influenced by spiritual philosophy, neuroscience, and ancient wisdom, blending them into a unique approach to healing and self-mastery.

How do you think your background and experiences have shaped your writing?
My experiences as a holistic psychologist and spiritual counselor have given me
a deep understanding of the subconscious mind, ancestral survival programs, and
karmic imprints. I’ve seen firsthand how unresolved traumas pass down through
generations, affecting lives in ways most people don’t realize. This insight
has shaped my writing into more than just knowledge-sharing—it’s a roadmap for
healing, integrating science with ancient wisdom to provide practical
solutions.
Can you describe your writing process? Do you follow a strict routine, or is
it more fluid and spontaneous?

How do you overcome writer’s block or any challenges you face during the writing process?
I see writer’s block as a sign that I need to step back and allow the subconscious to process information. Instead of forcing words onto a page, I engage in activities that shift my focus—playing the handpan, meditating, or simply observing patterns in nature. This helps me reconnect with the deeper flow of creativity.
Are there any rituals or habits you find essential to your creative process?
Yes, stillness is essential. Before writing, I often engage in meditation or deep breathing exercises to silence distractions and access a state of flow. I also journal my thoughts and insights before they take shape into structured content.
Please introduce us to your latest book. What is it about?
My latest book, “Whispers of the Womb: Healing Generations and Reclaiming Feminine Power,” explores the deep subconscious and ancestral imprints that shape feminine identity and power. It reveals how generational trauma, societal conditioning, and suppressed emotions are stored within the womb space—both physically and energetically. The book offers insights into healing these wounds, reclaiming feminine strength, and restoring a balance between the masculine and feminine within.
Can you share a bit about the research and preparation that went into
writing this book?
This book is a culmination of my work
in DecodeYou®️ and my extensive research into generational trauma, epigenetics,
and ancient feminine wisdom. I delved into historical narratives, mythologies,
and modern psychological studies to connect the dots between past and present,
showing how women can break free from inherited patterns and step into their
true power. The research also involved studying the energetic imprints carried
by the womb and how they influence relationships, health, and self-worth.
Since this is my third book, I have refined my ability to weave complex concepts into an accessible and engaging narrative. My previous books laid the foundation, but Whispers of the Womb takes my work deeper, integrating personal stories, historical insights, and practical exercises in a way that empowers readers to take action.
What do you hope readers will take away from your book?
I hope readers will recognize that the pain, struggles, and patterns they
experience are not just theirs—they are echoes of generations before them. And
more importantly, that they have the power to heal and rewrite these patterns.
My book provides tools for self-discovery, healing, and reclaiming the divine
feminine within.

I engage through workshops, social media discussions, and wellness programs at The Wellbeing Sanctuary. I also speak at events and collaborate with other thought leaders to spread awareness about subconscious healing and self-mastery.
What are your thoughts on the current trends in your genre or the publishing industry as a whole?
I see a growing demand for books that bridge science and spirituality. People are looking for answers beyond conventional psychology, and holistic approaches to healing are gaining recognition. However, mainstream publishing still resists unconventional ideas, which is why self-publishing and independent platforms are becoming powerful mediums for transformational content.
Can you share any advice for aspiring writers who wish to follow in your footsteps?
Write from a place of authenticity. Don’t just write to inform—write to transform. If your work is rooted in deep truth and experience, it will find its audience. And most importantly, trust your voice, even if it challenges existing narratives.

Living with the Himalayan Masters and Autobiography of a Yogi remain my favorites. They shaped my understanding of perception and transformation. I also admire authors who challenge conventional thinking and integrate wisdom across different fields.
Are there any emerging authors or lesser-known works you think deserve more attention?
I am always intrigued by works that explore the deeper layers of consciousness, trauma healing, and mind reprogramming. There are many rising voices in the field of holistic healing that deserve attention.
